First edition, folio, woodcut printer's device to title and final leaf; bound in contemporary Italian paper binding, missing part of the spine, becoming detached from textblock; title page dusty, lengthy later inscription in Italian detailing medical treatments for horses on verso of final leaf; closed tears to title page, sewing mostly perished, several early signatures and many individual leaves detached, marginal worming, toning, and staining; occasional tears; a few stains from spilled wax that resulted in adhesion between leaves and tears; scattered marginalia, a good candidate for restoration; 12 1/8 x 8 1/4 in.
